Since 1993, Marco & Alex has combined refrigeration design, installation and service expertise.
A history built on passion and professionalism.
Through family connections, a young man of 27 came into contact with the German market, specialist refrigeration companies and German professionals in the field. Their impeccable organization, detailed knowledge of refrigeration systems, and use of high-quality tools and equipment left a lasting impression on him.
Driven by a passion for technology and determined to bring the professional standards he had encountered in Germany to the Romanian market, he founded Marco & Alex Instalații Frig SRL in 1993, naming the company after his twin sons.

The early years
At the time, the Romanian market was not yet ready for cutting-edge refrigeration technology. Most customers relied on second-hand equipment and outdated solutions, while projects using new equipment were rare and small in scale. Even so, in its first five years, Marco & Alex built a team of technicians prepared to meet the demands of the most advanced refrigeration technologies.
Growth and consolidation
Many of the first modern refrigeration installations were delivered by foreign companies entering Romania alongside supermarket and fast-food chains. Through strategic partnerships, Marco & Alex entered these markets and gradually began winning contracts directly from major chains. At the same time, the company helped Romanian businesses modernize their own systems.
Today
Now in its second generation, the company remains true to its founding philosophy of passion and professionalism. Marco & Alex has a solid logistics base and a loyal customer portfolio built through long-term relationships. Keeping pace with new technologies, in refrigeration systems as well as information technology and digital solutions, remains a priority for the management team.
